The Rockford Pro-Am has had its share of big name golfers, particularly from the LPGA in recent years. This summer will be no different, as tournament director Judi Sheley announced today that LPGA legend Juli Inkster has been added to the list of pros for the July 8 event at Aldeen Golf Club.

Inkster has amassed 31 career LPGA titles including seven major championships.  She is seventh all-time on the LPGA money list at over $14 million for her career and was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2000.

For the past six years she’s guided a revolution in United States golf with back to back winning Solheim Cup captaincies.  She will be leading the 2019 team at Gleneagles, Scotland in September, but first she will be swinging her clubs with 14 other LPGA golfers at the Rockford Pro-Am, the longest running, free-standing golf tournament in the country.

Other LPGA golfers scheduled to play on July 8 are: Brittany Lincicome, Georgia Hall, Lizette Salas, Austin Ernst, Brittany Lang, Gerina Piller, Marina Alex, Amy Olson, Anne Van Dam, Gaby Lopez, Emma Talley, Ally McDonald, Kristen Gillman and Laren Stephenson.

Adam Nicholas, who recruits the pros for the event, hopes to add five or six male pros as well.

The 2019 Rockford Pro-Am will benefit the Foster Care Program of the Rockford YMCA.

Registration and sponsorship opportunities are available thru Judi Sheley at 815-877-5625.
