Today’s Sportsfan 1330 Student/Athlete of the Week Award, presented by Forest City Dental, goes to North Boone multi-sport star Britton Morris.

This award honors those athletes who make major contributions in the classroom, their schools and their communities, and Britton has been a huge success in all phases.

The senior has played football, basketball and baseball for the Vikings, and he will be taking his quarterback skills to Illinois State University next year.

But while Britton has proven what a great athlete he is, there’s even more to his contributions to his school and community.

First off,  Britton carries a 4.16 grade point average while taking AP and honors classes. Because of that, he is a member of the National Honors Society.

Britton also is an active member in the community, volunteering for RAMP. And he helped start the non-profit K-Cancer Baseball to help kids battling cancer.
