This week’s Sportsfan 1330 Student/Athlete of the Week Award, presented by Forest City Dental, goes to a young man who can do it all: Luke Robert of Stillman Valley.

This award honors those athletes who make major contributions in the classroom, their schools and their communities. And Luke does all that and more.

He is a rare four-sport athlete who splits time in the fall between soccer and serving as the Cardinals kicker in football. He also plays basketball and baseball.

But as busy as he is on the field and on the court, he is just as busy – and successful – in the classroom. Luke carries a 4.3 grade point average and scored a perfect 36 on his ACT. He was named one of 13 boys in the state as part of the IHSA All-State All-Aademic team. He will be going to state as part of the WYSE team later this month, as well as competing on the Stillman Valley state math team.

And if that’s not enough, he can sing. This year will be his second as the lead in the high school musical.

Luke is a perfect example of what you look for in a complete student/athlete.
