Senior Tyler Statler, the area’s most dominating pitcher, was named the NIC-10’s Most Valuable Player after leading Hononegah to a 17-1 conference title. He finished with five wins, a 1.33 ERA and league-high 89 strikeouts.
He heads the all-NIC-10 baseball team that was chosen by conference coaches. He is joined by the Indians’ Matt Simpson, named the Coach of the Year.
