With the 2019 fantasy season officially behind us I wanted to take one last look back and hand out our own yearly awards! With the help from my buddies Matt and Jake along with my Football Sunday partner Jackson we narrowed down our nomination list and finalized awards for the 2019 regular season. Without further ado here they are!!

The Greg Jennings Award: A player who put their NFL team on their back in terms of fantasy numbers. Last year’s winner RB Saquon Barkley

Nominees: WR Kenny Golladay, RB Christian McCaffrey, WR Allen Robinson and WR Devante Parker.

Winner: RB Christian McCaffrey  

The Phoenix Award: Player who had a bad first half of the season but rose from the ashes of failure and had a stellar second half of the season. Last year’s winner RB Derrick Henry

Nominees: WR Jarvis Landry, RB Melvin Gordon, QB Ryan Fitzpatrick and WR AJ Brown.

Winner: QB Ryan Fitzpatrick aka Ryan Fitzmagic

The Tom Brady Award: Depending on your league but the players selected in only the last three rounds of your draft qualifies for this award. I used our league here at the station as an example. Last year’s winner WR Calvin Ridley

Nominees: WR John Brown, TE Mark Andrews, Vikings D/ST and WR DK Metcalf.

Winner: TE Mark Andrews

The Ryan Leaf Award: Again depending on your league but the players selected in only the first three rounds of your league’s draft qualify for this award. Biggest bust in other words for the 2019 season. Once again I used our league here at the station for example. Last year’s winner RB Le’Veon Bell

Nominees: WR Ju-Ju Smith Schuster, RB David Johnson and WR Antonio Brown.

Winner: WR Ju-Ju Smith Schuster

Comeback Player of the Year: Last year’s winner QB Andrew Luck

Nominees: WR Cooper Kupp, TE Darren Waller, RB Dalvin Cook and QB Ryan Tannehill.

Winner: QB Ryan Tannehill

Breakout Player of the Year: Last year’s winner TE Eric Ebron

Nominees: WR Chris Godwin, RB Dalvin Cook, QB Lamar Jackson, RB Austin Ekeler and TE Darren Waller.

Winner: QB Lamar Jackson

The Anti-Clutch Award: Player who fails to come up big in the final moments. Last year’s winner QB Eli Manning

Nominees: QB Baker Mayfield (ended up with negative points on Monday night vs 49ers), QB Jameis Winston (Mr. 30 for 30) and RB Nick Chubb (finished with 9 total points in the Championship weeks).

Winner: QB Baker Mayfield

The LaDainian Tomlinson Award: The most consistent player throughout the entire season. Last year’s winner RB Christian McCaffrey

Nominees: TE Travis Kelce, RB Christian McCaffrey, WR Michael Thomas, QB Lamar Jackson and RB Ezekiel Elliott.

Winner: RB Christian McCaffrey

The Adam Vinatieri Award: Switching up the award this year, usually we give it to the best kicker each season but this year the award will go to the best single game fantasy performance.

Nominees: Harrison Butker, Younghoe Koo and Jason Saunders.

Winner: Jason Saunders 23pts vs Jets

The Iron Man Award: Player who played and produced in all 16 games.

Nominees: RB Christian McCaffrey, RB Ezekiel Elliott, WR Michael Thomas, WR Allen Robinson, WR Emmanuel Sanders (Only player who played in all 17 games after being traded from the Broncos to the 49ers). Last year’s winner WR DeAndre Hopkins

Winner: RB Christian McCaffrey

And finally our 2019 Fantasy Football MVP: Last year’s winner QB Patrick Mahomes

Nominees:

WR Michael Thomas (149rec 1,725yds 9TDs),

RB Aaron Jones (1,084yds 16TDs 49rec 474 3TDs 2nd among RBs in fantasy),

RB Christian McCaffrey (1,387yds 15TDs, 116rec 1,005yds 4TDs 28pts average),

RB Ezekiel Elliott (1,357yds 12TDs 54rec 420yds 2TDs, 3rd among RBs in fantasy),

QB Lamar Jackson (1,206yds 7TDs 3,127yds 36TDs 1st among QBs in fantasy 26.7ppr).
