Two Big Northern rivals are meeting in Friday’s IHSA Boys Class 2A Regional Basketball Finals!
Genoa-Kingston (19-15, 4-6) is coming off of its biggest win of the season, as the Cogs outlasted Rockford Christian 51-49 on Wednesday. They’ll look to become the first road team to win at Rockford Lutheran this season.
If they can win, Genoa-Kingston will pick up a home game in the next round. The school will host the Sectional Semifinals. Meanwhile, the Crusaders (24-8, 10-0) will have an extra day of rest on their side. Lutheran routed Marian Central 89-58 on Tuesday night.
The winner of this match-up will play the winner of (2) Northridge and (3) IC Catholic next week.
