Protests have broken out all over the country due to racial injustice which has been sparked by the death of George Floyd. Celebrities, influencers, and even athletes have been speaking out on what is going on in the world right now including, Rockford Native and NBA Raptor’s Point Guard, Fred VanVleet.

In an interview with SportsNet Canada, VanVleet says,  it’s time for a change.

“There’s a lot of things that need to be changed. Laws, policies, or as you can see some police procedures that maybe need to be updated, guys need to be trained better,” said VanVleet during the interview, “I don’t have all the answers obviously but the first step is admitting that there is a real problem.”
