James was homeless, living with addictions. He completed an addiction program and entered CP’s housing in 2014. He then secured gainful employment and learned lots of life skills including budgeting. In 2017, James purchased a condo! Amazing life changes like this is why Carpenter’s Place is celebrating!

This June marks 20 years of service that Carpenter’s Place has brought service to the community. Twenty years of serving homeless men and women who were broken and needed support, compassion, and services to rebuild their lives.

During that time, over 20,000 received case management, over 4,500 obtained stable housing, and over 2,500 secured employment.

From 2003 to 2014, CP addressed the critical need for housing by launching programs for special populations of homeless adults. Housing continues today for those battling mental illness, veterans, women, newly employed, and those with a history of chronic homelessness. They also receive individual case management based on accountability, and a wide range of services, including their empowering employment program.

In May of 2018, CP expanded their services to include families in crisis and is now serving 29 families. This growth and the amazing life changes were made possible by their dedicated staff, committed volunteers, generous donors, and the grace of God.
