Lost in a weekend of College and NFL football were two MLB playoff game 7’s. On
Saturday it was game 7 of the ALCS where the upstart Tampa Bay Rays were
looking to try and close out the Houston Astros for the 4 th straight game. The Rays
had built a 3-0 series lead but the heavily favored Astros has stormed back
winning 3 in a row of their own to force the game 7. Rays starter Charlie Morton
would give up just 2 hits in 5 and 2/3 rd innings of work and the Rays would hold
onto for a 4-2 victory. Morton has yet to give up a single run in the postseason.
On Sunday the LA Dodgers looked to comeback from a 3-1 series deficit against
the Atlanta Braves to punch their ticket to the World Series. The Dodgers were
down 2-0 and 3-1 at different points in the game but as they have done all season
long the Dodgers used the long ball to get back into the game and ultimately win
it. A Cody Bellinger homer in the bottom of the 7 th inning propelled the Dodgers to
a 4-3 win and the World Series
