With only 1 game left in the 2020-2021 NFL season it’s officially Mock Draft season! The 2021 draft order is 98% complete depending on of course the Big Game’s outcome but today I decided to make an attempt on what we could see on the night one of the 2021 NFL Draft! The Bears and draft add more talent to the offensive side of the ball!

2021 NFL Mock Draft 1.0:

  1. Jax: QB Trevor Lawrence Clemson

Trevor Lawrence is the can’t miss prospect in this year’s draft class and is best QB prospect since Andrew Luck came out of Stanford back in 2012.

  1. NYJ: QB Zach Wilson BYU

With a brand new head coach and the chance of drafting a potential franchise QB with the 2nd overall pick, that might be too challenging to pass up for GM Joe Douglas who has yet been able to select his own QB since joining the Jets. Odds are the team could actually trade back and gather more draft capital to help lead this team in the right direction beyond just the year 2021.

  1. MIA: WR Devonta Smith Alabama

If the Dolphins double down and commit to Tua being their next franchise QB they HAVE to bring in more weapons and protection on the offensive line. Heisman Trophy winning speedy receiver Devonta Smith Tua’s old college teammate should be the perfect choice at #3.

  1. ATL: QB Justin Fields Ohio State
  2. CIN: OT Penei Sewell Oregon
  3. PHI: WR Ja’Marr Chase LSU
  4. DET: QB Trey Lance North Dakota State

The Lions are moving on from QB Mathew Stafford and it starts with taking one of the top QBs in this draft class. It’s a new era in Detroit football! Trey Lance is a weird prospect to grade at this point with only playing 1 showcase game in 2020. Lance will have to improve his accuracy as he makes a huge leap into the NFL and may have to sit for a year to learn the game.

  1. CAR: LB Micah Parsons Penn State

This would be a worst case scenario for Carolina if they stay at #8 and with the top 4 QBs being selected all within the top 7 picks. After using all their draft selections in last year’s draft on defense Carolina could do the same again with continuing to rebuild that once stout defense.

  1. DEN: CB Caleb Farley Virginia Tech
  2. DAL: OL Rashawn Slater Northwestern
  3. NYG: Edge Kwity Paye Michigan
  4. SF: OT Christian Darrisaw Virginia Tech
  5. LAC: OL Alijah Vera-Tucker USC
  6. Min: CB Patrick Surtain II Alabama
  7. NE: LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah Notre Dame
  8. ARI: TE Kyle Pitts Florida
  9. LV: LB Dylan Moses Alabama
  10. Mia: RB Najee Harris Alabama
  11. WSH: OL Samuel Cosmi Texas
  12. CHI: OT Jalen Mayfield Michigan

If last season didn’t show GM Ryan Pace how bad his offensive line was clearly being the weakest point on the team then all hope is lost in Chicago if the Bears do not select an offensive tackle early on in the 2021 draft. The Bears could have a few choices with the 20th pick having the ability to select a young OT like Jalen Mayfield out of Michigan or another young player Alex Leatherwood out of Alabama or even the former longhorn Samuel Cosmi. Currently the Bears starting OT’s are Charles Leno who is the exact definition of AVERAGE and Bobby Massie who missed most of last season and the team could save $6.7mill if they decide to release him. In order to have a successful offense you must protect your young playmakers and that starts up front with the big boys!

  1. IND: WR Jaylen Waddle Alabama
  2. TEN: Edge Gregory Rousseau Miami (FL)
  3. NYJ: RB Travis Etienne Clemson
  4. Pit: OT Alex Leatherwood Alabama
  5. Jax: CB Jaycee Horn South Carolina
  6. CLE: Edge Jaelan Phillips Miami (FL)
  7. BAL: OL Landon Dickerson Alabama

Baltimore gets not only an instant starter of the o-line but an instant leader for that offense.

  1. NO: CB Shaun Wade Ohio State

Another Ohio State CB but this time the Saints could be looking for a guy who can step in and cover the slot corner position and that’s exactly what Shaun Wade can bring you day one.

  1. GB: WR Rondale Moore Purdue

Can you imagine Rondale Moore and Devonte Adams on the outside with Jordan Love throwing them the ball! Wait was that too soon Packer fans? Whoever starts for Green Bay at QB next season needs to have another weapon alongside Adams on the outside or in the slot, I’ve been saying this for years. Rondale Moore could be the next Tyreek Hill.

  1. BUF: LB Chazz Suratt North Carolina

This might be my favorite pick in the draft! Chazz Suratt will fit in perfectly with Buffalo at the outside linebacker position replacing beloved OLB Matt Milano who will hit the FA market this offseason.

  1. TB: WR Kadarius Toney Florida

After the season Tampa Bay could lose both Chris Godwin and Antonio Brown. The Bucs could get younger and faster at the WR position by selecting the smooth fast as lighting WR out of Florida Kadarius Toney

  1. KC: OL Wyatt Davis Ohio State

Continue the Chiefs dynasty with protecting your franchise Patrick Mahomes!
