March is Women’s History month and Midway Village Museum in Rockford is paying tribute the women who have made a difference in the stateline’s history.
This month the museum will pay tribute with exhibits featuring the Rockford Peaches, figure skater Janet Lynn who was a graduate of Guilford High School and went on to win the bronze medal at the 1972 Olympics and Besscia Raiche, a Rockford native who became the first accredited woman in America to pilot an airplane by herself.
