Don’t Get Caught by Your Pants…: There is a wonderful history of movies about inanimate objects coming to live and slaughtering people: Christine, Chucky, even the much maligned Maximum Overdrive. We’re not so sure, however, that anyone would have seen this one coming. Slaxx is a movie about a murderous pair of jeans. That’s right. Killer pants. Who cares what the plot of the movie is.. it’s about killer pants. Who thought a dumber idea than Sharknado or Deathbed: The Bed That Eats would ever surface, but here you go. Slaxx premieres on Shudder March 18th.
It’s A Stampede of Sequels!:Another Jumanji movie is in the works. The reboot series with Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan and Jack Black has been so successful -1.7 billion successful to be exact – that the greenlight has been given to a now 4th Jumanji title if you count the original Robin Williams picture from the 90’s. The film is still in the “conversation stage.”
More stuff we don’t need: A Spongebob Squarepantsspin-off series is coming this summer. Nickelodeon has given the go ahead to the Patrick Star Show about the big pink starfish buddy of Spongebob’s. The show will be about Patrick hosting a talk show from his bedroom. The deal is being finalized as we speak.
