Over $2.5 million dollars will be received by Winnebago County and the City of Loves Park to update sidewalks and bike paths. This comes from the Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program grant. Their plan is to make it possible for bicyclists and pedestrians to move about the shared bike path and sidewalk along North Second Street without having to use the street.
There will also be some new landscaping added as well as street lights and traffic signals to receive an update. Read more below!
