EDGERTON, Wis. — Chilimania is back in full effect this fall for its 31st year.

The weekend-long event is home to the Wisconsin State Championship CASI-Sanctioned Chili Cook-Off, a traditional chili cooking contest and a salsa contest. It kicks off Friday, Sept. 10.

Chilimania features live music, including Grammy Award-winning artist Billy Ray Cyrus, who will be headlining with special guest Bella Cain on Friday, Sept. 10. Plus, the best tribute bands in the country for AC/DC, Foo Fighters, Def Leppard and Blooze Brothers perform on Saturday, Sept. 11.

If you’re a fan of bloody marys, Chilimania is having a contest Saturday where you can vote for your favorite. Make sure you arrive early, grab a free cup and spoon for the famous public chili tasting at 3 p.m.

According to Chilimania’s website, “Chilimania is arguably one of the Midwest’s, if not the country’s, most entertaining and well-organized chili cook-off competitions.”

Chilimania will be held at 99 N. Henry St., Edgerton, Wis.
