The countdown to Halloween has officially begun. Have you started thinking about your Halloween costume yet? If not, Google has a tool that might just be able to help you.

It’s called the Costume Wizard and has four options that let you dial in the type of costume you want to wear. This tool debuted in 2019, but not a lot of people know about it.

First, you choose your desired “spookiness level” on a scale from zero to 100.  Then you choose between “classic” or “modern” costumes.

You can also see all of the top-trending costumes in our area or in the U.S. There’s another scale from zero to 100 that lets you choose your desired “uniqueness.” So you don’t have to worry about anyone else having the same costume as you.

The top three costumes that are trending in our area right now are Baby Yoda, Descendants, Mascot, M&M’s, and Light-Emitting Diode.

You can check it out at Frightgeist.WithGoogle.com.  Just look for Costume Wizard in the top left corner.

Or if you want to stay local, enter to win our Custom Costume Contest with Goodwill on East State Street’s Manager Mike. You’ll win a personal shopping experience for two with Manager Mike Ramos where he will help you piece together the most perfect Halloween costumes with inspiration for Goodwill’s Halloween lookbook. Just click HERE to enter to win. The contest ends Thursday.
