ROCKFORD — The 36th annual Illinois Snow Sculpting Competition kicks off Wednesday at Sinnissippi Park in Rockford. This is a free community event that brings teams from around the state to compete for the right to represent Illinois in the U.S. Nationals Snow Sculpting Competition.

There is also a high school division and here’s a look at the illustrations of what the local area high schools will be building:

 

The competition concludes on Saturday, when the winner are selected.
