Connecting With History – Rockin’ In A Material World: 1980s Music

Hard to believe the music of the Material Girl is almost forty years old! Why was 1980s music so different from the 1970s? Music of the 1980s will highlight the decade’s main genres of pop, rock, and country, with many great artists including Madonna, Prince, Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen, Whitney Houston, and Depeche Mode.

Seating is limited, so early registration is encouraged. Walk-ins are welcome on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests may also register at the Museum Gift Store in advance of the lecture date.

  • Guest Lecture By Amber Bruns, Music Historian, and Owner of a Madison-based music studio.

Guests may register for other lectures which are part of 2020 Connecting With History Series. Register separately for each lecture.
