V-Day Celebration

As a guest, enjoy an All-American barbecue dinner while you listen to the sounds of 1945 when Victory was declared and World War II ended. View historical exhibits related to the Allied Forces and the war
effort in the outdoor ambiance of the Victorian Village.

. Professional, handcrafted exhibits featuring original artifacts from the museum’s permanent collection.
. Woodworker Fred Wescott will demonstrate his talent of making handcrafted Veteran Plaques.
. World War II Wall of Honor for you to honor or remember a loved one who took part in the war effort.
. Rosie the Riveter themed selfie photo booth with props.
. Fill out enlistment paperwork or learn how to can vegetables. Make an origami peace crane or get a temporary tattoo like a real sailor.
. Golf cart shuttles for individuals with mobility issues courtesy of Anderson Automotive.
. Silent Auction with new online bidding on Facebook beginning 3 pm July 21, and in-person at the event.
. 50/50 Raffle – need not be present to win! To purchase raffle tickets, call 815-397-9112 or stop by the Front Desk.
. World War II field kitchen demonstrations by Tri-State Living History Association reenactors.
. The menu is a barbecue-style pulled pork dinner.
. Cash bar with wine, beer, pop and water

You will pick your reservation time when you purchase your tickets. Tickets will be emailed to you.

You will check in to the event at Gate B when you arrive at the event.

The Museum is required to follow all State of Illinois mandates regarding COVID-19. All staff and guests attending are required to abide by the state guidelines for social distancing at the time of the event.
