Guilford’s Mitchell Wannahwilai entered his senior volleyball season with three all-NIC-10 honors in his back pocket, looking to close his high school career with a bang.
But his Vikings team boasts a young and rather inexperienced lineup that has seen the team struggle in the early going. So while Mitchell continues his strong play at libero, he has added team leader to his responsibilities.
He has seen growth and looks for a big finish in the second half of the conference season and beyond into the playoffs. But until then, the country-music-loving player is still enjoying every moment of his final year.
