We talked with Harlem senior Bianco Barone about her chase for a third straight NIC-10 softball MVP award, a feat only accomplished one other time by former Huskie pitcher Lori Lorenzen.
And with Barone’s stats – .453 average, with a league-high nine home runs and 33 RBI – she’s well on her way to No. 3.
It’s a goal that is important to her, but not for selfish statistical reasons. She has dedicated this season to her mother, who passed away last year.
Bianca talked about her past, her final year at Harlem and her future with Northern Illinois University.
