The Rising Stars Classic basketball showcase is scheduled for Saturday night at Rock Valley College.
The annual event features the top NIC-10 seniors against area seniors, with the girls game at 6 p.m. and the boys at 8 p.m.
New this year will be a Middle School all-star doubleheader prior to the varsity games. It will feature Rockford girls Stars against area girls stars at 4 pm, followed by the Rockford vs. area boys at 5. It includes players from West, Flinn, Eisenhower, RESA, St. Bridget, Roscoe, Winnebago, Stephen Mack, Willowbrook, Belvidere, Kennedy and Rockford Christian.
Tickets for the Saturday night are $8 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens and can be purchased at the door.
