Having lived in Rockford my entire life, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve visited Midway Village Museum over the years. What I can tell you is that every single time I’ve gone, I’ve always learned something new! Open year round; the museum has both permanent and rotating exhibits to learn from. The friendly staff is well versed in Rockford’s rich history and are always willing and able to answer any questions you may have about the museum as well as our beautiful city.

Midway Village is more than just a museum, it’s so much more. Just take a look at some of their offerings below:

Remember, the museum is open year round! Winter activities include: Girl Scouts Day, Boy Scouts Day and of course, Sock Monkey Madness! Experience The Great War: World War I this Spring. In Summer the Oregon Trail in Real Life and Tipsy History. Fall is always fun with their Haunted History Walk and of course bring the kids for their favorite event All Hallow’s Eve! The village is decorated with a spooky theme and local businesses hand out candy to children in a fun and safe environment.

So whether you’ve been a hundred times before or this is your first time visit; remember to check out The Midway Village Museum website for more information about all of the great exhibits, programs and hands-on experiences that you and your entire family can enjoy this year. www.midwayvillage.com.
