
The Rockford Symphony Orchestra is pleased to announce it will broadcast it’s annual Holiday Pops concert on December 25, 2020 on WREX-TV at 12 pm and 5 pm. The RSO will perform and record the 30-minute televised version at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rockford.
The Holiday Pops concert is meaningful to the Rockford community and the musicians of the RSO. It has been a holiday tradition for thousands of area families for many years. The current restrictions in our region prevent the RSO from performing the concert for a live audience. In response to the current situation the decision was made to record it safely with a brass and percussion ensemble for viewing on the RSO website in its entirety and an abbreviated version to be televised on December 25, 2020. Supporting the cost of producing the video were many Holiday Pops ticket holders who donated the cost of their concert ticket back to the RSO.
