Here’s a sentence that’s never been written: 2020 has been a tough year. Okay, so maybe it’s been written in almost every article this year, but that doesn’t make it any less true. Pets have always been a source of happiness for us, and during the pandemic that hasn’t changed.  Here are some stats to prove it.

  • 86% of pet owners say the companionship they needed in 2020 they got from their pets
  • 1 in 3 people got a new pet this year, and 1/3 of those people said it was to help with depression
  • 78% say their furry pal has helped with stress and anxiety
  • 75% say having a pet cured their boredom and eased the 2020 monotony.
  • 69% claim their pet gave them hope
  • 50 % say that the best part of working from home was more time with the furballs. Only 36% said the same about family.
