Here are today’s Nerd News! headlines:

“Mortal Kombat” despite mixed reviews, was the top earner of the weekend. The Warner Bros release debuted at  $22-point-five-million which makes it the second-biggest debut of the pandemic after “Godzilla vs Kong” last month.

“Demon Slayer” was the other big release, making the second spot with more than $19-point-five-million in earnings.  That’s nothing though, because in Japan, it earned $365 million, making it the highest grossing film ever in Japan.

We have repeatedly told you about the massive failure of the Cyberpunk 2077 game from CD Projekt Red. Massive bugs and broken game issues cause a lot of people to ask for refunds and the company has announced that number. This blunder has officially cost them $51 million in refunds. That’s a big number. A lot of angry dudes in their mom’s basements.

And in better news it looks like Captain America 4 is being developed. Malcolm Spellman, the creator of the Disney+ series Falcon and the Winter Soldier will be co-writing the script along with his staff writer Dalan Musson, As of right now, we know very little about the plot or the casting, but we do know that Anthony Mackie will play the title role.
