ROCKFORD — A new indoor trampoline and adventure park marks its grand opening this weekend inside part of the former Gordman’s at the corner of East State Street and Perryville Road.
Urban Air Adventure Park announced in a news release about a year ago that it had leased space at 7137 E. State St. for its first location in the city. The company was founded in 2011 in Dallas and has nearly 300 locations. The other portion of the former Gordman’s became a Planet Fitness.

The company will host a special event from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday in which all first responders, educators and their families can enter for free.
The park then holds a grand opening celebration from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday. The first 200 people in line Saturday will get free goodie bags, and there is a chance to win a one-year membership to the park.
The indoor park features APEX trampolines, a tumble track, bumper cars, battle beams, climbing walls, a warrior course and other activities for all ages. It also hosts birthday parties and private events.
