Dressed in her Native regalia, Ojibwa presenter Kim McIver will be sharing what daily life was like for the Native Americans in this area in the 1800s. Participants will be able to take a look at Native items up close, and listen to storytelling that has been passed down from generation to generation. She will lead a drum/dance circle where the traditional steps of the Jingle Dress dance will be taught.
Afterwards, we will give thanks to the Creator, while listening to Native flute music and preparing traditional Native foods. We will end our time together sitting down for a meal, giving thanks to everyone there and the Creator, who gave us the bountiful harvest.
Come immerse yourself in Native American culture by joining us for a presentation of their history, storytelling, and harvest.
