The popularity of Earthing, or Grounding, is gaining momentum. Science backs up the benefits of walking barefoot upon the Earth: direct contact between our bare skin and the planet’s surface helps our bodies absorb negatively charged electrons, thus canceling the adverse effects of free radicals in our bodies.
At Severson Dells they are embracing anything that helps people reconnect with the Earth, but sometimes going barefoot isn’t practical. The good news is that simple leather moccasins allow us to have the same benefits – no insulating rubberized soles stand between you and the Earth. Come spend a day with us making your own Ojibwe-style pucker-toed moccasins that can aid you on your Grounding journey.
Ages 16 and up. Space is limited to 12 participants. The program starts at 9:00 AM and ends when each maker is finished. Plan to spend most of the day with us. Bring a lunch and beverage. Fee: $50 members; $65 non-members. Register by 02/08.
