Atlatl (spear-thrower) Sunday is incredibly interesting and especially fun for kids! Learn all about the atlatl and other historic life skills of the past.

Learn how the early natives of this area used their environment and the natural resources for the day-to-day needs of food, clothing, and shelter. See and handle the tools they used and learn how they were made. Chop wood with a stone ax. Try your hand at bringing down dinner with a spear and atlatl. Kids can help grind corn and take some home to make into corn cakes.
