Two years ago, after an 0-8 start to his sophomore season, Aydin Guttridge of East considered quitting wrestling. Fast forward to today, and Guttridge is the No. 1 ranked 285-pounder in the state and No. 5 in the nation.
Guttridge, who will be wrestling at Wisconsin next year, begins his final high school run on Saturday with the NIC-10 conference meet. He talked with Randy & Co. about his season, his future and what changed for him two years ago.
Hononegah's Jordan King has had an amazing senior season. She has surpassed the 2,000-point plateau, then flew by the NIC-10's all-time career scoring record. Next up: the conference scoring mark for both boys and girls.
But first, the future Marquette Golden Eagle wants to focus on the NIC-10 race and a deep postseason run.
