Happy Earth Day! To celebrate, Winnebago County Clerk Lori Gummow and the Winnebago County Soil and Water Conservation District are giving away trees.

Starting at 8 am, Thursday, April, 22nd, they will be giving away bare-root or shrub seedlings. If someone applies for a marriage license, gets a birth certificate, or receives a death certificate will receive one.

Varieties of shrubs that will be given out include Serviceberry, Hazelnut, and Red osier Dogwood and will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis.
