Community Science Trainings
Forest Preserves of Winnebago County needs your help to monitor the incredible plants and animals that live in our natural areas! We have a project for everyone: all ages, abilities, backgrounds and availability are welcome. We will have a General Information Session, followed by virtual, project-specific trainings. Budburst Training

Budburst Monitors take pictures of plants at their leisure and record their life stage on an easy to use app and website. This project is great for anyone who appreciates plants, flowers, and the changing of seasons! This training teaches you everything you need to know to contribute important information to Budburst, a nation-wide research project.
