A family holiday tradition! The Light Up the Parks Holiday parade begins at the GE Aviation parking lot on Clifford Avenue in Loves Park, travels north on Elm Avenue, turns left onto Roosevelt Road, crossing N. Second Street, and concludes at the Machesney Park Town Center (8750 N. 2nd Street). Following the parade, the lighting of the 30-foot Christmas tree will take place at the Town Center.

An awards ceremony will take place during the Village of Machesney Park Tree Lighting  Ceremony immediately folowing the parade in the Town Center roundabout. Awards will be presented to the Best Business, Best Community Group, and Best Youth entries.
