Freeport senior Major Dedmond saw two of his last three seasons in wrestling end in a shoulder injury. He still placed as a sophomore and a junior, but his chase for a state title has come up short. This year, with a 31-1 record and No. 2 seed in the state in Class 2A at the 170-pound category, he looks to close his high school career on top.
