It's late May. That means the Rock Valley College softball team is priming for another national championship. Darin Monroe, in his eight season with the Golden Eagles, is headed back to Rochester, Minn., in hopes of returning with the team's sixth straight NJCAA Div. III crown.

Henry Robison is taking over as the new athletic director at Rockford Lutheran after Josh Sternquist stepped down to take on that roll at Belvidere High School.

K Cancer Softball - and K Cancer Baseball - is an amazing program that has young softball/baseball teams working to raise money and awareness of childhood cancer. It was started by Randy Rapier, and has grown into a successful program that helps local families dealing with childhood cancer.
