From there, the softball pitching star played at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and just finished her college career at Graceland University. Now she is the latest professional athlete from the area, as she was drafted by the E1 Pro Ballers of the American Softball Association.
It's late May. That means the Rock Valley College softball team is priming for another national championship. Darin Monroe, in his eight season with the Golden Eagles, is headed back to Rochester, Minn., in hopes of returning with the team's sixth straight NJCAA Div. III crown.
