National Fossil Day Celebration

Burpee Museum’s MILLION year old fossils “come alive” at the celebration of all organisms preserved from the distant past. Arrive any time during our event, and explore the museum’s extra displays and activities. Come face-to-face with special ancient organisms, dinosaurs, local fossils, new finds from the 2019 field season, and even Jane’s skull!

Programs Include:
– Learn about fossil preparation techniques
– Touch fossilized leaves, compare fossil evidence
– Bring your OWN fossil for expert identification
– Compare our recently found Allosaurus jaw to Jane’s jaw
– WIN PRIZES: Finish all your stations and dig for a prize at our fossil digging station…you could get a real Cretaceous oyster!

Don’t miss an additional class, Exploring Sight, at 1 p.m. (additional fees may apply)
