Tipsy History: Prohibition
Saturday, August 8, 2020
Three reservation times available:
1 pm -3 pm . 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm . 6 pm – 8 pm

Uncover the mischief of Prohibition as Midway Village becomes a dry town in the 1920s struggling to maintain law and order. This special event is designed as a brand new experience this year allowing for safe social distancing practices while visitors rotate in groups of 10 through living history themed vignettes. Up to 80 historic reenactors will portray life in the prohibition era in the 13-acre Victorian Village. Visitors are encouraged to come in 1920s costumed attire, but it is not necessary to enjoy the evening.

For two hours, a museum guide will tour visitors through eight different history re-enactment scenes lasting 15 minutes each.
. View a demonstration of a homemade 1920s still
. Meet a famous flapper and glamorous movie star
. Learn about the Temperance and Suffrage Movements

. Bring 1920s-themed mementos home in a swag bag
