This week’s Sportsfan 1330 Student/Athlete of the Week – sponsored by Forest City Dental – is Rockford Lutheran senior Jacob Kruckenberg.
Jacob is a four year football player in the fall. And he keeps his hands in Lutheran sports in the winter serving as the public address announcer for multiple sports including boys and girls basketball teams.
Away from sports, Jacob is a two-year member of National Honor Society as well as the Crusader Honor Society in which he has served as president.
He has been involved in Choir and Madrigals; was vice president of the Red Cross Club two years and its treasurer one year; participated in the school’s Trunk Or Treat program; and was Freshman Cabin Group Leader.
This award honors those athletes who are as big – if not bigger – successes off the court or field. It recognizes young men and women who excel in the classroom, in their schools and in their community. And Jacob Kruckenberg checks all those boxes.
